One of the new features in the new timeline is the speed of loading. Before it could take some seconds to load the timeline, but with the new timeline the loading time is decreased.
When creating a new text the system will ask you to select the timeline where you want to connect the activity. You can choose an already existing timeline, to create a new timeline or continue without timeline.
Choose a specific timeline by highlighting it and press OK
This funtion is enabled in the settings. Go to:
Frontpage - System - Setting - Global - Timeline - New journaltext timeline choice
Other than that the look of the timeline has changed a little as there are some new buttons and functions.
New: The dropdown menu will not give you the option "new" as this has been asked in the "Choose timeline" pop-up. Otherwise it works as before.
Show: Will give you the option to Save Filters that you set.
The new function Sort also offers Save sorting besides from other functionalities that will differ between the way the journaltexts are sorted in the timeline.
Use default will use the settings from the global settings.
Type sorts by consultation from newest to oldest and then inside the consultation it sorts items by type.
Ending of days is a new feature for sorting. The ordering in this sorting can be sorted under Frontpage - System - Settings - Global - Timeline - Items grouped in ending of days. Click on the 3 dots at the end and a pop-up will give you the opportunity to sort the items.
Back to the new buttons:
Reset: This button will reset so that the settings will go back to the default ones.
Timeline: Gives you the opportunity to choose which timeline(s) you want to be visible.
Refresh: Will update your changes if it's not done automatically.
It is also possible to sort in the way the items in the timeline are ordered. This is done by:
Frontpage - System - Settings - Global - Timeline - Order of timeline items.
Click on the 3 small dots at the end of the field and a pop up box will enable you to change the order to a way you prefer.
If you are in consultation view and click on a specific consultation the system will automatically show the timeline connected.
This is also a possibility if you click on the green bobbles that shows what the timelines contains in the consultationview
It is also possible to see/filter all timelines with this specific type. Just right click on the green bobble.
The timeline is now marked with # that shows which treatments belongs together. A small icon with an arrow will show if the header shows start time or end time. If you press the icon it will jump to the reversed icon. (Eg. if standing on the end time and pressing the arrow button you will jump to start time and vice versa.)
The layout of the # function can be changed by going to
Frontpage - System - Settings - Global - Timeline.
Other things that are possible to change in the settings:
It can be chosen if it should be the old(1.0) or the new(2.0) timelinelayout that should show.
Frontpage - Settings - Global - Choices - Timeline Mode
The two next settings are already known settings. They have just been moved from Global to Timeline settings.
Settings are saved by user now and not pr. pc so the user can choose the preferred sorting mode.
If timeline appearance is enabled the appearance will be more consistent; the name, user, time etc will be in the place.
The timeline item spacing will decide how much space there is between the lines in the timeline
The sorting of the new header(starttime) and footer(endtime) in the timeline is also done in settings.
In the timeline settings you can also do some settings for the journaltext as you for instance can hide the responsible user or enable or disable the pop up box that ask which timeline you want to continue in when creating a new timeline.
The changes that can be done in the fonts are not new features. But as the text says it gives you the option to change the font in Header and/or Content.
